Designed to Withstand Conditions in Your Veneer Bath

The high temperatures, water, and amount of time required in the veneer bath present a special problem when it comes to tagging your veneer logs. We have tested many materials over the years in order to find just the right one for the job. We know that the veneer log data you need to track is valuable to you which is why we have one material in particular that we highly recommend.

The Best Material for this Application

After researching many of the newest films available today, we believe that our XT Film is best suited for veneer log tags. Since it is a synthetic, it doesn't contain any paper fibers which can be damaged and fail under the harsh conditions in the veneer bath. This film is flexible, durable, stable, and holds well under such harsh conditions. The surface of the tag is also completely sealed with a clear protecting film. The veneer bath gets very dirty which may result in a dark residue on the surface of the tag when removed. But all you need to do is immediately wipe the surface of the tag with a damp cloth to remove this residue and you will easily be able to read the tag number and also scan the barcode without fail. Available in Multiple Parts to Track Matching Log Sections

Whether you are processing whole logs, log halves or log quarters, we can make an appropriate style tag that allows you to track and match your veneer sections. For example, a 4-part tag works well when processing log quarters. Simply staple a matching number and/or barcode tag to each quarter section and when all the sections are removed from the veneer bath, just match up the tag numbers to put the log sections back together.
